Hack/No Record is a graphic novel that follows the fictional story of three freshmen during their first semester at MIT. During their first weeks at the institute, they discover a hidden crawl space inside the wall of their lecture hall that sends them on a quest to unravel the mysteries of how the famed Caltech Cannon Hack was accomplished. On the way, they meet legendary “hackers,” the shadowy explorers of MIT’s underground tunnels and rooftops. By day, they deal with issues of college student life: romantic relationships, academic pressure, pressure from parents, and self-expectation. By night, our heroes climb shafts, explore forbidden rooms, rappel from rooftops, and experience first-hand the hidden life at MIT.
